Tight Buffered
Tight buffered pigtails have an outside diameter of 900um, matching the buffered fiber diameter of distribution style cable or loose tube cable with fanout kits.

Patch Style Jacketed
Available in either 2.0mm or 3.0mm outer diameters. Typically used with patch cables or BX style cables to give a more robust cabling solution where space isn't an issue. Tip: Use 2.0mm for off the shelf BX style cable.

Breakout Multifiber
Gives the user a pre-terminated length of cable of typically several meters that extends beyond the enclosure. This would allow splicing to occur at another site or enclosure. Breakout Multifiber pigtails are constructed with BX style cabling.

Distribution Multifiber
Gives the user a pre-terminated length of cable of several meters that extends beyond the enclosure. This would allow splicing to occur at another site or enclosure. Distribution Multifiber pigtails are constructed with 900um tight buffered DX style cabling.

Bare Ribbon
Bare Ribbon pigtails allow installers to get the most density from their preloaded enclosures, but require a ribbon fusion splicer for connection.

Jacketed Ribbon
Jacketed Ribbon pigtails require a ribbon fusion splicer for connection, but due to their exterior jacket, they provide more protection than bare ribbon pigtails.
